Casting tuition is available on a one-to-one or one-to-two basis. The lesson is tailored to your needs, whether you’re a beginner or an experienced angler seeking to correct faults. If you have never tried fly fishing before, you can learn the basic casting techniques in just a few hours.
After your session, you’ll be a competent caster with a solid understanding of all the techniques necessary to start fishing independently. I will customise your lesson to suit your specific requirements. Whether it’s just the basic cast or distance casting, your lesson will cover it (and more) and be delivered in a relaxed and enjoyable manner.
All lessons are on an hourly basis and can be taken at a venue of your own choice.
Below are a list of casts and techniques that can be covered:

Of course, there are many fishing guides in this country, but I am unique in being able to iron out any casting faults you might have and teach you all you need to know about reservoir fishing.
Have you ever thought of having a World and European Champion demonstrating at your show?
Hywel first stepped onto a casting platform at just four years old, at the Royal Welsh Agricultural Show. Since the age of fourteen, he has regularly demonstrated at shows all over the UK and Europe.
He is the only World Fly Casting Champion who demonstrates, and since his early baptism, he has developed a wonderfully relaxed and humorous way of informing and educating the audience about the fascinating world of fly fishing.
His enthusiasm during the demonstration appeals to both anglers and non-anglers alike at Country and Agricultural Shows as well as Anglian Fairs.
In addition to casting demonstrations in arenas, Hywel can offer a static fly tying demonstration and tuition.
Over the past 30 years, Hywel has also compèred numerous shows and has frequently been asked to manage countryside arenas with a strict timetable of activities and displays.
If you would like further information or would like to book Hywel to demonstrate at your show, please do not hesitate to contact him
